Fruit Crop Fertilizer Program

Fruit trees need balanced nutrition through the fertilizer ring at every stage of growth. Match the blend and rate to tree age using the schedule below to protect flowering, fruit set, and quality.

Feed the tree to its age

  • Apply fertilizers around the fertilizer ring and incorporate lightly.
  • Split the annual fertilizer amount into 4 equal applications (March, June, September, December).
  • Apply well decomposed organic manure/FYM 20 to 25 t/ha/year.
  • Deep, well-drained, fertile loamy or sandy loam soils; pH 5.5 to 6.5. Spacing: Mango 8m x 8m, Citrus 6m x 8m, Papaya 2m x 2m, Guava 6m x 6m.
